Now: My Favorite Place

Exactly!

I have lived in the Past, in the Future and in the Now and I've decided that Now is best. Oh, the peace here which comes only after much letting go...

(Thanks, Dolores, for sharing this photo at Facebook!)

*******

Yes, I'm splashing around in early Springtime--even gasping on Saturday when I glanced out the dining room windows and saw that two trees had suddenly turned green! After 5 months of oh-so-brown, a yellow-spring-green is reason for wild celebration in the land of the heart.

*******

Oh, it's all returning! Mary Jane on the front porch...

... and forget-me-nots...

...fairies...

... rosebushes

...and sitting outside, listening to birdsong, feeling content...
(and maybe creating a tiny brick patio beneath this chair and table).

Living in Now Land. Because that's where God lives. Joy lives there, also.

There is no better place for me and you'll not find me taking field trips to lands called:

Complaining
Worry
Dread
Regret
Fear
Self-Pity
Sadness

Why go there? (Why, indeed?)

"Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable."   ... 1 Corinthians 9:25

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."   ... Matthew 6:34

"Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!"   ... Mark 4:8

Although there is always green and flowers out here we also rejoice when the leaves come back too! The pruning and watering and planting etc. need doing 12 months a year here. I do remember waiting for spring for many many years living back East though. Also waiting for the summer humidity to be ending too!! :-) One thing we always ALL have is a BEAUTIFUL sky!! Oh I think that is one of the loveliest things! Always changing. Always ever so beautiful!! I have always loved the Bing Crosby song Count Your Blessings.."When you're worried and cannot sleep...Just count your blessings instead of sheep, and you'll fall asleep,..counting your blessings....... " To even try to count the blessing bestowed on each of us...well we could never go to the end could we? !! :) I like to go to sleep saying prayers for people. It sure makes you feel that God is right there listening and so comforting. In the quiet of your room, just you and God talking about His people. Well I am rambling so that is it for now...Over and out!!! Sarah
