Just Another Walk

Took you with me on my walk today and this is what you saw. :)

I see these post-War houses and think of all the young 1940's couples who were thrilled and grateful to own them. And I try not to think of couples who I'd see on House Hunters (when I used to watch it) who'd step into gigantic master bedrooms and sigh, "I'm afraid it's just waaay too small for us." (Don't get me started....)

Hope you enjoyed today's walk.

Your pictures remind me of the town in Nebraska I grew up in...one neighborhood has houses and trees just like those.I think alot of towns do...especially those built near the college or Universities.

How wonderful to have those lovely sidewalks to walk on!!! Even in the small town here, the sidewalks can be rather hit or miss. And being we live out on the edge of town, nope, just the road to walk on, though it is fairly wide (we have to step onto grass if a car is coming however, just to feel comfortable). Plus with all that excess humidity here, not too many good walking days. Are loose dogs a problem there? I love dogs, but sometimes big, big ones are loose here.

Thanks for taking us on your walk. It reminds me of our old neighborhood in Colorado Springs. Our neighbor had pictures from the 40's, when her house was being built. Joyce
