Five Minutes of a Typical Drive

Finally--finally!--I remembered to bring along our camera on one of our yard sale runs. So here is just a tiny smattering of the usual sights (you can multiply these by hundreds to get an accurate idea of where I live) ones I
never tire of, nor take for granted. Surrounded by these homes and barns, I always re-realize I'm a country girl at heart.

This type of farm always reminds me of Anne of Green Gables and Marilla and Matthew.

Enlarge any photo to feel like And You Were There. :) (My nod to Walter Cronkite.... you have to be a certain age to know what I mean.)

Hi Debra:

I loved the pastoral pictorial! I'm not so sure how I feel about having reached a "certain age."

And that's the way it is, Friday, August 28, 2009. This is Annie Bremer, getting ready to mow the lawn. Good Day!

Oh! Thanks for taking me along for the ride...that is EXACTLY what I would want to do should I ever be a house guest!!
I DID enlarge the photos and breathed in the goodness, simplicity, and beauty of the farmhouse and barns surrounded by green, green fields. sigh.
I got no fancy quip like Annie..all I remember was the two national newscasters signing off every night.."Goodnight Chet~~Goodnight David". Remember them?

Myrna--I've just seen them on documentary-type stuff. I don't recall them otherwise--they must have been before my time....heee... (just had to tease you). Blessings, Debra
