Gardeners, Creators and Their Purpose(s)

"He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver ..."   ... Exodus 35:35.

Today I come bearing gifts for my gardening friends, especially for those hesitating within their own creativity.

By way of Brenda's Cozy Little House, I discovered Becky's Signature Pink Garden.

I will never be the same.

Oh, the ideas! Be still my winter-weary heart.

Becky's garden then led me to 12 Garden Tours (!) which reminded me that God loves to show His creativity through people and uses it like ripples to uplift and ignite His gifts in others. He really does. And what a huge, dark gap is left when we hide our gifts (or never discover what they are), for others walk away, limping, when we weren't there to help them stand strong.

Flea Market Gardening. My new go-to website for gardening inspiration.

Don't you just love gardening and gardeners' whimsical imaginations? And aren't you positively thankful for this Internet which brings it all together for us, enabling us to see and partake of what we'd otherwise have left this Earth never having experienced?

God. He's incredibly good to us, His kids. And He provides everything we need to creatively express ourselves as He planned us to from our very beginning. Sometimes we just need to look a little harder to find it all.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart... "   ... Jeremiah 1:5

“See, I have called by name Bezalel ... and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft."   ... from Exodus 31

It matters that we use our gifts, that we fulfill our purpose. How much it matters, we will only fully realize when we reach Heaven.

Not sure of your gifts/calling/purpose? Perhaps this will help.

What a blessing it is to contemplate our flower and vegetable gardens. I've already started cleaning up some of our planting beds--such a pleasure to spy those green shoots and buds!
