"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time..." ... Ephesians 5:15

Thankfully, I don't put chairs together for a living. It took me nearly an hour to piece together my new slipper chair.
But it was worth it.
The chair is comfortable, luxurious (to me) and fits perfectly in this peaceful room which feels cloud-like when I ascend the stairs. (I'll be updating the tabletop, I'm sure. That's just what I put there for now.)
And here's the bit of wallpapering I did on Thursday. The outer back wall of the closet will have to wait till next week.
Progress, even in fits and starts, feels fine. How freeing to break away from procrastination! And when God wants us to do certain things, He always makes a way. He just doesn't always make it obvious, I've found, so that I must listen more closely to Him.
And now it's time to celebrate the weekend, Tom's and my favorite time. May yours be special!

(Oh, and the top photo is a better one of that swag which I spray-painted last month.)

Love the slipper chair!
I really like your wallpaper and the white and soft blues of your room....
Debra your little room is turning into such a charming cottage retreat. It's really lovely. Inspiring me to just get on with the creative urges God's giving me on how to improve my own home environs.
I applaud your positve, can-do, attitude,Debra. As time goes on, you continue to focus on making your home a beautiful and comfortable haven for you and your family. That slipper chair was a perfect choice...so charming!
Good encouragement you bring us to accomplish things in pieces...eventually reaching the goal! Blue has always been my favorite color...enjoying seeing what you are doing in your room!!

Love your new chair. Your room looks very serene and tranquil -- the perfect reading retreat :)
Thanks, Everyone! I'm glad you're liking these changes. I'm seeing my room become more of a peaceful retreat--gotta love that! I'm thinking after the wallpapering and dresser painting, I'll add light blue and white pillows to the beds. Thanks again!... Blessings, Debra
