Never Let Them Make You Sweat

"If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?"   ... 1 Corinthians 12:17

Debra's Translation: If God created you to bake cookies for your neighbors, but someone with classic missionary zeal (and a missionary calling) tells you, "Unless you're traveling to foreign countries, feeding the poor and giving all your money to them, well, you're in Big Trouble With God!" ...

... I, personally, believe that you could sell everything you own, become that missionary--and then spend years being disobedient to God. And find failure, fatigue and frustration.

Yet if you'd walked those cookies over to your neighbors' front doors in obedience to God, powerful miracles would have happened and you'd have come away energized and thrilled to be alive.

So there you go. Never let them make you sweat or feel tiny. No one is small to God and everyone and everything matters. There's a Big Picture Puzzle out there and it takes each piece to complete it.

What matters is that we find our correct spot and fill it.

"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!"   ...  2 Cor. 3:17

"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it."   ... Psalm 127:1

And yes! Jesus did say, "Go ye into all the world." But He never said there was only one way to do that.

And now that we have computers? Oh my... seek and you will find a thousand ways to take Jesus out into that same world.

This is a sweet message. Every little kindness and charitable act we do is missionary work. It is also much needed!
