And soon I'll paint a green border around this patch of wallpaper.
Found this painting at a yard sale for just $3.

I needed four more curtain panels to match four I already had and there were four very-close-in-color panels inside a box of curtains and valences I bought for only $15 total for the entire box.
This pillow was only $3.

Although I didn't have really anything to say, Sara truly did here.
Loved the patina on this plate which I found in a basement at an estate sale for $1.
Another yard sale find for $1.
Why do I share the prices I paid with you? So you'll feel encouraged that good deals are still out there and decorating your home doesn't mean going into debt. Always keep your eyes open and your heart full of anticipation wherever you may go while searching for whatever it is you are seeking (and I don't just mean stuff and things, either).

You are one thrifty gal that's for sure. It's like looking for buried treasure and dreaming of life's past. I really like what you have done to the kitchen. Your just on a creative stretch right now, don't cha just love it when that happens?!
I love your wallpaper ideas! And thanks for sharing your fabulous finds..makes ya wonder why people would ever want to shop retail, doesn't it? ;-)
By the way, if you can put the paint brush down long enough, pop over to my blog~ I'm having a Giveaway!!
Blessings!

p.s. We finally got 'your' weather here! No, not anything as fantastic as thunder & lighting, but it's cold and cloudy, and I did hear a slight rumble in the clouds. OH! I am so excited that fall is upon us!
You are a thief! I bought that same little boy and girl at a secondhand shop and I paid dollars for it (I can't remember how many now lol). I bought it for my mom who really doesn't like the whole thrift thing but she loved this! I really like the way your square of wallpaper turned out!
Very lovely!
I'm a big fan of using plates as decorating accessories. I have them hanging everywhere!
What treasures. I especially like the painting, but the little sledders are a lot like Bing and Groendahl figurines........All wonderful.
You do too have something to say. Pictures are words from your eyes... :)
Just found your blog and will for sure be back! Love all the treasures you've found and glad that you share them. You're so right, lots of good stuff still out there and don't you just love the hunt?!
Take care
You said tons...love of your home..love for the "old"...love of thrifting and not being a bragger about how MUCH money things cost! I like what your said... :-0
Oh, Debra. I've been meaning to email you to tell you ALL about the flea market I went to a month ago - and saw you EVERYWHERE!
Seriously though. We could not shop together. We would want all of the same things!
That 25 cent figurine? I'd have knocked you to the ground for that - and I love you!
Maturity is elusive to me somedays.
couldn't have said it better...
