Our Hidden Treasure

That's what I'll miss about summer--those golden tomatoes growing freely beside my house in a flower bed, glowing in the sunshine.

And yes, we still have Autumn to skip around in, but here's the truth: cold, icy sidewalks and eternal, dark mornings and short, cloudy days are marching to our towns. But so is Grace, she who strengthens anyone who'll receive her help and warmth.

Oh Grace! She keeps us from growing consumed (and dare I say bitter?) over our Country's current political mess. She leads us to people who make us better rather than those who'll knock us down to their discontented level. She shows us the difference and keeps us from feeling guilty when our time with hurters of our hearts must be fleeting. She teaches us we can love without handing over our entire souls to be stomped upon.

We can camp where there's much Grace, but make just short visits where Grace is only hiking by.

Grace leads us over a calmer route, shows us how to rule our emotions (rather than the other way around) so that the majority of our days are remarkable instead of pathetic. She shows us God's ways and plans, aids us in living them so that--when we reach the end--we'll glance behind us and smile and know we spent our hours well.

Because of Grace.

Thank-you for your kind words about our red door!

On the Street Where You Live (I never tire of this song. Never.)

Sorry Deb, this sounds like an excuse to live life....Rely on Grace to judge your decisions? That's "pathetic" God does not judge you by Grace...he will judge you by actions. Love ya Sis. Daryl

Elizabeth--thank-you, Dear. You always inspire me, too, and I was so happy to see you blogging again for I'd missed seeing you there!

Daryl--I'm thinking you'd enjoy other blogs more than your sister's. Yeah, I'm pretty sure of that. :)

Thanks for commenting! blessings, Debra
