Mostly just some fun today, ok?
For Christmas Tom gave me a Kindle gift card and gracious! I'm making myself a tad deranged about which books to buy.
So hey. Could you help me choose something? How about if you recommend one or two books which you found (at any time in your life)--
Beautiful.
Memorable.
Rereadable.
A book you wanted never to end.
Books which can be found on Kindle, of course, given I have that gift card and all. ツ
You can leave your recommendations here in my comment box or at Facebook or in an email to GladOne4@protonmail.com, all places where I'll anxiously be waiting!
Thank-you in advance. Much.

Oh, and my phrase for 2022? "Return to excellence."
Yes folks, ol' Debra wandered a bit from the Excellence Trail in 2021. Got a tad sloppy, lazy and too, sat down upon a few laurels and called it good.
She too often pictured her 60+ years self this way and made excuses for laziness negligence--
So God busted her. And rightly so.
What do I believe excellence looks like? I wrote about it here. That is, after some controversy following this post here.
So go there, to that first place (or both if you wish), to see just where I'll be returning in 2022.
Excellence. It's also a vital place of safety for Today's freedom fighters, but hey. That's a whole other post.

And for those who love snow (personally, I'm not a huge fan, heh), you may enjoy this video showing a portion of the latest snowfall in Tennessee(!)
Oh, and I found this oddly interesting, watched nearly every minute(!)-- I Bought An Abandoned Victorian Mansion, 1-Year Update.
Don't forget your book recommendations for me, ok?

I'm sorry Debra, the only book I've read lately is the Bible. I've been so busy trying to catch up with my mitten project, I haven't had time to crack open a book. Now that they are caught up, I need to knit two baby sweater, hat and booties sets.
It was sure fun to sit down and see a post from you this morning.
Wishing you a lovely day.
Blessings,
Betsy
Same Kind of Different as Me
Hi Betsy! I'm glad you left your comment, for I went back and added 'at any time in your life' regarding the books folks have read. I hadn't meant it to sound like books you may have read lately. So again, thanks! I always aim to make my posts clear. Your knitting projects are always the best and sweetest!
Sandi--thanks so much for the recommendation! I'll look into that book today.
Thanks so much, Ladies! Blessings, Debra
Hi Debra,
One of the favorite books of my life has been "Dear and Glorious Physician" by Taylor Caldwell. Read it first as a preteen and multiple times since. Retrieved my battered and beloved paperback copy from my firstborn before he moved out. :)

Hi Debra! I've been thinking about books that really made a difference to me. One that I have loved and revisited is The Hiding Place. Corrie Ten Boom's words and her spirit really speak to me. I don't have the best memory, but one of her quotes that has been meaningful to me is, "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still." You've probably read this book many times, but its message never grows old.
I just read Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher, and I did not want it to end. It's the perfect blend of adventure and cozy, set in the British Isles, so it ticks all of the boxes for me! On the non-fiction side, my sister gave me This Beautiful Truth by Sarah Clarkson for Christmas and it has become another favorite.
