Here are some of our yard sale finds over the last two weekends. There are more, but I won't bore you with them all-- I'm just sharing them to encourage you that good deals do still exist out there, even in 2009. Tom and I appreciate how God provides for us through yard sales, for we've needed lots of new toys for this whole new way of Life down on the farm.

Above, the coffee cup was just 10 cents. The planter was 50 cents.

The picnic basket was just $1.

This cafe rack was just $1.

The coffee bean grinder (new in the box) was $3. The crock pot (like new) was $5.

The umbrella on the left was 25 cents.

The tea kettle was 50 cents.

These old wrought-iron pieces were 2 for 25 cents.

And Tom bought this for me, but I'm not sure how much it cost. It hangs on the side of our old pie cabinet which I'll be painting green soon.

I just love to go to yard and garage sales, Goodwill, whatever I can find over the weekend. If all of us did a little more repurpose, recycle and reuse "thinking" we'd have more money in our pockets and less going into the landfill! Great post!

Oh, too much fun Debra! I'm wanting to go out to yard sales now, and I have so much too much stuff......I also keep taking boxes to good will. My daughters encourage me to "bless other people with your stuff"!

Great finds, everyone!
I have that same little coffee grinder, and since I don't do much coffee grinding, I often use it for grinding nuts when a small amount is required. It also chops frozen cranberries really well, those little round things can be hard to chase on a cutting board!

This is great! I love going to yard sales. I just don't have the time right now, hopefully in the Fall. I love your Café Rack and I don't know if you already have a crcckpot but if you don't, you'll just love it. I have 3 myself. I make fantastic pears in them with wine and cloves...mmmmmmm delicious.
Please post your other treasures you found.

Oh, wow! You "done good"!

I've been buying up little 10 cent scraps of fabric to make the apples from the free pattern in the current issue of MaryJane's Farm.

It truly doesn't take much to make me happy.

You got some great deals! I know Crock Pots are in big demand, the new ones are "too hot" according to many, so they are all scouting garage sales and thrift shops for the older models! SCORE!
