My Shortest Post, Ever (Yet It May Change Your Life)

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."   Colossians 3:14

******

What if instead of often thinking, "I wish more people would help me," we said, "I wish I would help more people,"?

What if ?

******

Yes! What impossible things are you open to God doing through you?

"Your fingerprints will never fade from the lives you touch. Therefore, be on the lookout for someone that needs to be inspired and encouraged, then use your strength, hope, joy, and love to help them! Every act of kindness to others is an act of kindness to Christ."   ---Justus Ondieki

Oh, and this is Read Across America Day in schools, but Dr. Seuss (March 2nd is his birthday), has been officially canceled by Biden and other  (brain-washed) liberals.

When I read about this days ago, I immediately went to Ebay and bought Dr. Seuss books then purchased another one today. So there! And I'll continue to fight in this way (and others) whenever I see injustice and stupidity-shared-as-truth.

No, you leftists will not rule me. I will keep making the same choices I've always made. I will keep ignoring you.

Movies which blessed Tom and me this past weekend:

"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins."   ---1 Peter 4:8

Please remember: My posts are ALWAYS about more than they appear to be.

I just read about the Dr. Suess ridiculousness this morning. Is nothing sacred? Dr. Suess! For goodness sakes.

Good for you in buying his books!

Blessings,
Betsy

Oh girlfriend, we are on the same page, I often buy as a protest when cancel culture rears its ugly head. The warnings about some Muppet shows, etc. I went to mypillow.com and bought a pillow and a dog bed for the same reason.

"Above all else...love." This post might be shorter than some of your others, Debra, but it says exactly what all of us need to hear. Real love is not always easy or automatic, but God will teach us about it if we let him. When I was younger, I though I understood love, but now I realize embracing a life of love is a life-long process.

Whether it be a shorter post or not, it was still powerful (as always!)

I love the quote you shared by Justus Ondieki and copied it off to put into my journal. I love quotes but just keep the ones that are awesome that I find online or in books and this one was. Thank you!

I feel the same was as y'all do with the cancel culture of the left. First, Aunt Jemima, then Uncle Ben's ... Mr. Potato Head and now Dr. Seuss. I'm hate to think of what may be next.

I didn't buy any Dr. Seuss books on Ebay, however it was after reading about that, that I got thinking about something and that was ... Little Black Sambo.

I have a special fondness for him as when I was "really" little - I don't think I was probably even 6 years old - my mom went to California for a trip to visit relatives (she was my dads mom but raised myself and my 2 brothers so when you're nearing 60 and are raising 3 small kids, I think a vacation is absolutely merited! lol)

Anyways, she ate at Sambo's restaurant and bought postcards for each of us kids and either mailed them home to us or brought them and I can't remember which. To be honest, I wouldn't remember what picture was on the front on the card BUT it is the memory and how it made me think of mom (who died in 1995) so I looked on Ebay and found some of the postcards and bought one that should be here sometime this coming week.

Okay, enough for me but did want to let you know that I'm still reading even though I don't always comment so I'm still here! Have an awesome day, friend! 😀

Thanks, Betsy! Glad we're on the same page about Dr. Seuss. These present days become more ridiculous, right? But I'm encouraged that better days are coming through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Can't wait!

Terra--so true that we must fight against the insanity however we can! Soon I'll mention in a post about the other 'buycotts' in which I've participated. Good for you for fighting back!

Pam--thanks so much for mentioning the main point which is always love! May we never stop learning more and going deeper.

Thank-you, Everyone! Blessings, Debra

Hi Debi! It's always great seeing you and knowing you're still reading here. I enjoyed your Sambo's story about your mom and it brought back memories! One of the CA towns in which I lived had a Sambo's and I have a high school friend who still often speaks of it and those days. I can still recall all the artwork along the higher parts of the walls of Sambo's. Enjoy your postcards! Blessings, Debra

I've been reading your blog for some time now but hadn't commented yet, but here I am now... because I want to say... pleeeeeease be my friend! I got kicked off blogspot due to my outspoken-ness as a Christian, but I bet also for my opinions on the scamdemic. So, I got my own domain and have started all over -- a little jerky start due to lots of things going on, but still! Just wanted to say I agree with all you said. Bless you for being one of the few who stand up with the rest of us and say what needs to be said! I will comment on other posts, also, aas I have time. You are a real blessing, you know that? LOVE your blog!

Hi Untypical Me! I'm so happy to hear from you and I do thank you for your kind words. It's always wonderful to hear from another kindred spirit especially during these turbulent days. And wow! I didn't know it was possible to get kicked off of blogspot. I'd thought they were the last safe space in which to express our opinions. sigh. Do you have a new blog? If so, I'd love to be your friend there. You can email me at gladone4@protonmail.com to let me know any further details. Thanks so much for your comment! Blessings, Debra
