I'll Think About It Tomorrow--Not.

"Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward."   ... 2 John 1:8

God did not create us for silence in the midst of evil. The power of Life and Death are in the tongue.

"So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God."   --- Romans 14:12

For Christians? Those Scarlet O'Hara, 'I'll think about it tomorrow' days are gone.

We were born for such a time as this! But not for silence. Or apathy. Or fear.

If we're switching off the news?
Pretending our Country isn't burning down?
Wishing it wasn't happening?
Waiting for it to stop?

No longer will we find peace in ignoring a world in chaos. Why? Because it majorly grieves God when we hide from the specific purpose for which He sent us here.

Now we'll only know peace while we're doing exactly what God created us to do for such a time as this.

This is the day, the hour to--

Speak Truth boldly.
Use our social media platforms to share Light.
'Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.' (Eph. 5)
Pray without ceasing.
Speak to those within our Life sphere.
Spread God's word. Encourage. Sow hope seeds.

Prepare our heart for battle. (Eph. 6)
'Become strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.'

View our home as a citadel.
Prepare to defend it, our family.
Collect food, supplies and survival knowledge/skills.
Grow our own food. Share what we have.
Form alliances with our neighbors.
Know who we can trust--and who we cannot.

Or do none of this.
It's up to you.

But what is up to me? To broadcast these warnings. These days, this hour, the price is way too high to ignore what God instructs any of us to do.

When we stand before God someday? Our silence here will humiliate us there-- and grieve God's very heart.

Please, don't choose to spoil the plans God made for you millions of years ago.

“You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Craftsman.”

― Max Lucado, The Christmas Candle

Whatever you've experienced, done, faced, learned, conquered in your Past, has equipped you for what you must bravely do today.

19But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. 20"Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself." --- Ezekiel 3:19-21

Oh, and I hope you'll watch this.

"This is why it is said: "Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." --- Ephesians 5:14

Can't seem to watch the news?

1.) Don't soak in it.
2.) Ask the Holy Spirit (and Grace) to sit with you, comfort and teach you what you should know.
3.) Discover pundits at Youtube who believe truth, then listen to their understanding on what's happening.

Here are pundits I, personally, like and watch:

Michael Knowles
Glenn Beck
Matt Walsh
Ben Shapiro
Dennis Prager
Larry Elder

Truly, I wanted to write a light-hearted, 'Life Around Hobbit Cottage' post. I sat down to do that, in fact. But God wouldn't let me.

This came out, instead.

I've learned that to choose a different direction only leads to frustration, but obedience ends in peace. I hope you've learned that, also.

But I will share this--

Remember when my lilac bush came down with some sort of disease and rather than baby it along, I took a handsaw to it?

Well, look who returned this year because she is stronger, more determined than her disease!

So many lessons to be learned in a garden.

Thank you for thanking the officer. I truly believe that most of them are good people. A few bad apples makes them all seem bad and it's juust not true.
I'm guilty of taking a day off from watching the news a couple of times a week. I just can't deal with it sometimes.
I just had a discussion this morning on the very subject of how Christians should be living in todays world. I don't know if I made an impression but I did try.
Take care Debra.

Hi Betsy! Of course we all need to take a break sometimes. That's understandable and necessary. But what I spoke of were the Christians who are ignoring what's happening and just sitting, listening to songs or teachings, waiting for better days. They're the ones being irrelevant and not helping the desperate people losing hope by the minute. Now's the time to be passionate about fulfilling our specific calling for these times! God will keep us relevant and useful as long as we give our whole selves to Him.
Keep spreading those seeds! Often I call them 'seeds of doubt' which we can share, spread, believing they'll grow into strong trees which will uproot wrong thinking, actions and belief.
Oh, and it was Steven Crowder who thanked the officer. He's really famous and I can't imagine him ever reading my blog. heh. I've come to appreciate that young man and I watch his radio show/podcast often and follow him on Twitter.
Thanks so much for commenting, my friend! Blessings, Debra

We desperately need to be plugged in to the Lord and his plans for each of us. One thing that blesses my heart is the fact that he will use us, wherever we are. Homebound? No big deal to God. He'll send people to us. Mail carriers, delivery people, neighbors. When we love him, we love others, and we do what he wants us to do. Although I enjoy your light hearted posts, I always appreciate your willingness to share God's truth, Debra. Thank you!

View our home as a citadel. I like that.
