What's Going On In There?

"The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)."  ... John 10:10

I want to live the abundant life Jesus came to give me. Inside, outside, upside down. I refuse to put it off until some far-off Heaven day. No, now is the time for overflow.

Each of us is here for a purpose and I hope you're discovering facets of yours as the weeks sail by. Encouraging, helping, praying, giving, teaching, ministering in a ton of different ways and finding rejuvenation in obedience... All parts of abundant life.

"The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost." (Romans 14:17). I hope you're splashing around in all that daily. Got peace? Got joy? They're available, you know, for "the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21).

It's all in there! Look for them, find them, spread them all around. In abundance. And then Life will be good no matter who's trying to ruin it on the outside.  What's going on in the inside is what matters most. Everything spreads outward from there.

May it be good. Holy. Uplifting. May it change the world.

Another delightful Facebook thing happened yesterday. Through Facebook, I reconnected with an old friend from a former church and yesterday she and I visited here at Hobbit Cottage. First time we'd seen each other in probably 11 years. A lovely time at our sunny dining room window...

Facebook, email, cell phones--anything similar--will always be what we make them. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks..." It's our hearts that make all the difference... it's our words and how we use them both in real life and online that matters.
