You're Growing-Up When...
You're growing-up when...
... your plans for today went up in smoke--and you can gracefully accept that tomorrow is another day.
... you feel a burden to help people and you actually go out and help them--instead of just accusing others of doing nothing.
... little annoying things no longer make you wildly frustrated.
... being popular is no longer your #1 goal in life.
... you can accept yourself just as God accepts you.
... money, position and possessions no longer define who you are.
... your favorite video tape gets erased and you no longer feel like life, as you know it, is over.
... you can wait in traffic and smile at the same time.
... you realize that it really is better to give than to receive.
Some people hate being in their forties. I love it, myself.

i like that . . . i will have to copy and e-mail it to my friends/family . . .
ReplyDeletei turned 50 this year, and i don't mind a bit . . . the years that it took to get here, and the growing pains to be where i am now, i would not trade away to have youth again . . . course that is easy to say, since it would be an impossibility to do anyway!!! chuckle
tomorrow is December and the Christmas fun/prep begins for me . . . :o) . . . saija
Oprah is 50. Jerry Seinfeld is 50. Neither of them look it, but their knowledge and wisdom (IMHO) is evidence. I say God blesses those who accept with grace the things they can't control with his everlasting peace. :)
