A Thanksgiving Post

(Got unperfectionistic and am showing you this before the trim has been painted.)  :)

*******

Today I am thankful for you, my readers:

You who've read here for eight years or five or one. For you with whom I have a sweet history.

You who've left comments saying what I wrote meant something to you.

You who emailed me that I helped during your hard time, saying my words were timely.

You who've recommended the most amazing books, movies, teachers, preachers, websites. You who value homemaking, creating and quietly staring out of windows.

You who make me smile. You who I bring with me to the supermarket and yard sales and on countryside drives.

You whose encouragement arrived just as satan whispered, "You should quit blogging. You aren't actually helping anybody."

A million thank-you's float out to you today, from my heart, to each of you Real People who have become my sisters, brothers, friends and encouragers. (Somebody told me today that you are not real. Hmm... I wonder if anyone else ever had 120 imaginary friends?)  :)

Thank-you. You and God and Grace give me the strength and peace to keep writing.

Yesterday we had a preview of Heaven weather-wise. Sunny, breezes blowing yellow leaves from trees and that perfect autumn slant of light. I hope your weather was gorgeous like that, too.

Hint of the day: Whenever you are misjudged, be extra thoughtful and kind to many people in your life. Satan hates that, but God greatly honors it and will send extra comfort for your heart.

I don't always comment but I do visit your blog regularly. I truly enjoy tagging along on your trips to the supermarket, yard sales, or drives in the country. You have created a beautiful life at Hobbit Cottage and it is always a delight to visit. Love your new colors too!

Naturally this was the one day in oh so long that I did not get on line!!! :( :) I hope you do know that I too think ever so highly of you and so look forward to coming on line and coming here. Even if you are busy and can't blog just coming here to peep 'in case' makes me feel calm and connected to you and Always also helps keep me focused on God during the day. I don't expect you to keep any upheaval or sadness out of your writing to keep it so calm as I know you write what you feel led to and never, never please never let anyone tell you otherwise! As you already know being led by Him is the way to live not by the standards and insensitivity of others. All this t:.... Thank you so much for caring and sharing!!! Sarah

Thank you Debra for your blog and your willingness to share, for being there like an old friend to just drop in and have a cup of coffee with...even on opposite coasts.
For being real and sharing in the small, simple ways you try and love God in your everyday life versus just being "religious".
Thank you for being there, reaching back out and comforting me when we were hurting after losing our home and the life we knew and loved.
It was hard but reading your blog helped me to hold me steady, lifted my faith and dared me to believe that God could pull us through and He did! The home and life we have now, is even better.
    Thank you dear, sweet Debra.
Who knows how many others your blog is touching.
    Many Blessings,
    Shauna
