After my Mother's passing I had a hard time not holding on to each and every thing that was hers. We are there, to an extent. No house, no...So true! We are there, to an extent. No house, nor do we expect to have one again. Other than a rental. We MIGHT get some kind of RV and live that full-time lifestyle...but that is about all. We are on the "downward" slide now and need less all the time. I understand now why my grandparents always lived quite spartan!
